Pages: Services, FAQ, Gallery and Contact

How to add and remove your site's pages from the “Page” menu, and what each one holds.

Your site is, above all, a hero page: a single page with what matters and your widgets. You can add separate pages to it for what doesn't fit: your list of services, your menu, your questions, your photos, a contact form and, on a personal site, your CV. Every page is on every plan, Free included. The blog is on Grow.

The pages you can add#

Page What it holds
Services Your services on cards, with name, price, description and, if you like, their “Duration” (“45 min”), shown under the name. They're organised in folders (“Create”, “Move to”)
Menu What you sell with its price, in sections you create, with allergens and tags, and, on Grow, a QR for the tables. See Your menu
FAQ Frequently asked questions, each with its answer
Gallery Your photos, each with its caption and its alt text, also in folders
Contact A form. What people write to you reaches Messages and your email
Blog With Grow. The list of your posts; each one with its own page. Its title and introduction, in “Edit the page”; “Posts per page” (3 to 24), in “Edit the content”; you write the posts in Your blog, with “Manage the posts”
CV Only on a personal site. You upload your CV as a PDF or a photo and the AI turns it into a page of your site, in your style and without your personal details (phone, email, ID number)

Each one looks the same on both templates: on the left, your hero photo with the page's title and intro; on the right, what it holds.

There are also the legal pages —the legal notice, on a business site, and the privacy and cookie policies—, which we write for you. See Legal texts and cookies.

Add a page#

  1. In My page, open the “Page” menu in the top bar. At the top are the pages you already have, with their address.
  2. At the very bottom there's one row for each page you don't have yet: “Add services”, “Add menu”, “Add FAQ”, “Add gallery” and “Add contact”, “Add blog” (and “Add CV” on a personal site). Without Grow, the “Add blog” row carries the paid plan's tag and, when you press it, shows you Grow.
  3. Press the one you want: the page is created straight away, you're taken into it and its content opens. It starts with sample content written by the AI so you can see how it looks (the Gallery starts empty, for your photos; the Menu, also empty, for your own items; the CV with the button to upload yours, and the Blog with no posts).
  4. Replace the samples with your own in that window, or ask the AI. What the AI wrote is published as it is, so check it before you publish. When you publish we only warn you —“There's still example text”— if some of our placeholder text is left, like the three sample service rows, or a sample widget on your hero page, like a made-up number; and if you choose “Publish anyway”, that same warning won't come up again.

Questions to answer. The FAQ page starts with about ten questions people usually ask you. The ones we can answer from what we already know (your hours, your address, how to book) come answered as samples; the rest come “To answer”, with a grey hint where the answer goes (“Say how long a session takes and whether you need an appointment”). Write your answer, or remove the ones nobody asks with their bin. An unanswered question doesn't appear on your site: it shows up as soon as you answer it.

On Grow, on the Services page, the WI tab has “Take a photo of your price list”: with a photo or a PDF of your list, the page fills up with your services and their prices.

Edit a page#

Choose the page in the “Page” menu and edit it in the preview, by hand, or in the WI tab, in your own words. In the preview, move your mouse over the page:

  • The left-hand card, with “Edit the page”: the “Title”, the “Introduction” (on Services, also the “Terms”; on Contact, the “Form text”) and the “Card background”, for that page only. See Style.
  • The right-hand column, with “Edit the content”: what the page holds —the services, the menu, the questions, the photos, the form fields, your CV—.

Each window is saved when you close it. Its title and description on Google are in the SEO tab.

Rename, reorder and remove#

In the “Page” menu, moving over a page shows its bin, “Delete the page”. It asks first: “Remove “Gallery” from your site?”, with “Keep it” or “Remove it”. A page you've removed can be added back from the same menu, at the very bottom.

The name and order of Services, Menu, FAQ, Gallery, Contact, CV and Blog are set by the template. Home can't be removed —it's your hero page— but you can “Rename (and its tab)”.

If you remove Contact, the form goes with it, along with the Messages screen and the privacy policy, which is only needed when you collect your customers' details.

Adding and removing pages is saved straight away. For the change to reach your site, publish.

The contact form#

On the Contact page, “Edit the content” shows the “Form fields”: what you ask the person writing to you. Each field has its type, its question, “Required”, “Half row” and its arrows to move it up or down; “Add field” adds another. Two fields in a row with “Half row” share a row; a single one goes full width, and on a phone they go one under the other. On the Grid template, the form's column takes your widgets' background.

Messages reach Messages and we notify you by email; the address we notify is changed in Settings › Messages from your site.
